Available Guinea Pigs

Adoption Policy »
  1. Before applying, review the page about appropriate CAGES (click here) . It is very important to us that your guinea pig has a proper size cage!
  2. We do NOT SHIP guinea pigs. You must be able to come to us for the adoption.
  3. We do NOT ADOPT to minors. Heads-of-household only can apply to adopt. Please do not apply to adopt if you are a minor living with your parents.
  4. We do NOT ADOPT to people who have other pets living outdoors (with the exception of horses and other farm animals).
  5. Review important guinea pig DIET information: What to Feed Your Guinea Pig.
  6. We have a "pairs policy". If you own a guinea pig, we are happy to help you find a compatible friend amongst ours. If you don't own a guinea pig, you may adopt a bonded pair or create a pair from our single guinea pigs. When you don't already own a guinea pig, we highly recommend adopting one of our bonded pairs - that way you know you have a pair that gets along, and won't run the risk of them not getting along once you get them home.

Fees »

Fees as of Jan 1, 2019

  • $65 per neutered male guinea pig
  • $80 per spayed female guinea pig
  • $110 for bonded pairs (Pairs listed on the site together)
  • Unlike some other rescue groups, all of our guinea pigs are spayed/neutered and have been to a vet for a checkup prior to adoption. While the adoption fee helps to cover some of the vet costs, our expenses far exceed the adoption fees. Click Here to see why we feel that spaying/neutering our guinea pigs is so important. Not only does it control the guinea pig population, there are definite health benefits.
  • A contract must be signed at adoption time

Notice about adopting female guinea pigs:There is currently a higher demand for spayed, female guinea pigs than availability. There may be up to a two month waiting period after submitting an application. We are limited by which guinea pigs are available in the local shelters and availability of foster homes. We appreciate your patience when adopting.

    Name:Wilford
    Sex:Male
    Type: Black/American Short-hair
    Age: 9 Months
    Altered:Neutered

Wilford is a fairly typical young male of his age, if more timid than some. He is skittish and doesn't yet have an appreciation for lap time. He will grow calmer as he gets older and with good socialization time. He needs a patient and loving home where he can happily live out his life.

    Name:Kenya
    Sex:Female
    Type: Black & White/Abbyssinian
    Age: 3 Years , 9 Months
    Altered:Spayed

My foster mom thinks I'm entertaining and adorable! I enjoy sleeping out in the open or under my hay. When it comes to meal time I am the loudest wheeker that you've ever heard! I can be heard from far away reminding you that I'm hungry! I like lettuce but my princess qualities come out sometimes and you must rotate through the different types to keep me interested (silly human-I have you trained). However, I'm always in the mood for some red bell pepper or my daily baby carrot. I am seriously ticklish on my sides, so please don't pet me there, but I do like the top of my head scratched. I also like exploring during floor time, but it would be much more fun if I had a friend. Would you please consider adopting this middle-aged gal and giving me a once and forever home? Thanks for considering me. Love, Kenya

    Name:Snap
    Sex:Male
    Type: Red & White/American Shorthair
    Age: 8 Months
    Altered:Neutered

Hello future family, I'm a little bit ginger so they call me Snap. I'm still a little shy but I'll be happy to take a carrot from you. Then, when you leave the room, you'll hear me running and popcorning all over my pen. Since I use a corner spot for my toilet I don't even make much of a mess. I'm very soft and my foster mother is getting me used to being cuddled and stroked. Sometimes I even purr a little in her arms. It sure would be nice to have a forever family so I can get to know you and cuddle in your arms.

  •

    Name:Churro
    Sex:Male
    Type: Brown/American Shorthair
    Age: 8 Months
    Altered:Neutered

They call me Churro because I'm sweet and delightful. I am a very curious fellow who loves floor time and getting to know my humans. I've always enjoyed lettuce, corn husks, or a taste of dry oatmeal and I'll let you pet me while you feed me. I have soft brown fur with a little white beard to make me look more intellectual. Yes, I'm a jaunty little man with loads of personality. I just need the right family to help me find my place in the world.

    Name:Barbara
    Sex:Female
    Type: Black/American Shorthair
    Age: 1 Year , 1 Month
    Altered:Spayed

My foster mom says Im a sweet girl. I already like to sit on peoples laps and come out to take treats from their hands. Im curious about everything and will do a walkabout during floor time, but I also like burrowing under my blanket. I like things neat in my cage, so I do my potty business in the corner. Id love to have a friend to run around with in a forever home.
