Available Guinea Pigs

Adoption Policy »
  1. Before applying, review the page about appropriate CAGES (click here) . It is very important to us that your guinea pig has a proper size cage!
  2. We do NOT SHIP guinea pigs. You must be able to come to us for the adoption.
  3. We do NOT ADOPT to minors. Heads-of-household only can apply to adopt. Please do not apply to adopt if you are a minor living with your parents.
  4. We do NOT ADOPT to people who have other pets living outdoors (with the exception of horses and other farm animals).
  5. Review important guinea pig DIET information: What to Feed Your Guinea Pig.
  6. We have a "pairs policy". If you own a guinea pig, we are happy to help you find a compatible friend amongst ours. If you don't own a guinea pig, you may adopt a bonded pair or create a pair from our single guinea pigs. When you don't already own a guinea pig, we highly recommend adopting one of our bonded pairs - that way you know you have a pair that gets along, and won't run the risk of them not getting along once you get them home.

Fees »

Fees as of Jan 1, 2019

  • $65 per neutered male guinea pig
  • $80 per spayed female guinea pig
  • $110 for bonded pairs (Pairs listed on the site together)
  • Unlike some other rescue groups, all of our guinea pigs are spayed/neutered and have been to a vet for a checkup prior to adoption. While the adoption fee helps to cover some of the vet costs, our expenses far exceed the adoption fees. Click Here to see why we feel that spaying/neutering our guinea pigs is so important. Not only does it control the guinea pig population, there are definite health benefits.
  • A contract must be signed at adoption time

Notice about adopting female guinea pigs:There is currently a higher demand for spayed, female guinea pigs than availability. There may be up to a two month waiting period after submitting an application. We are limited by which guinea pigs are available in the local shelters and availability of foster homes. We appreciate your patience when adopting.

They call me Churro because I'm sweet and delightful. I am a very curious fellow who loves floor time and getting to know my humans. Sex:Female
Type: Lilac & White/American Short Hair
    Age: 1 Year
    Altered:Spayed

Hello! I'm Tosie. I like munching my hay and checking out the different toys and hides my foster mom gives me. When she takes me to a different room, I like to stand at attention with my nose in the air so I can check out the different smells and sounds. I like to forage and look for new things to nibble on. I'm learning about floor time. I'm pretty good about using my litterbox/kitchen, but not perfect (hee hee hee). Are you good at cuddles? Because I loooove head massages! I'm still kind of shy about some things. I'm pretty quiet and even though I love my treats I usually hide until my foster mom puts them down. But sometimes I take them from her hand, and when I think she isn't looking I'll even popcorn. I'd like to find a friend to explore with and a forever home where both snuggles and veggies are on the menu. Please ask for me at the next adoption meet!

    Status: Adopted

  •

    Name:Richard
    Sex:Male
    Type: Red & White/American
    Age: 2 Years , 5 Months

Richard is a very happy and contented pig, he is friendly to other pigs and seek their company out. He loves to get his nose and chin scratched and will stretch out his neck and hold his head very stiff to get these scratches. He has learned to take treats offered by hand and is very gentle. Richard is a good eater and relishes his vegetables everyday. He loves wheatgrass and carrots along with most green leafy vegetables. When being fed and getting hay, he gives appreciative popcorns. Richard loves hanging out in his fleece tunnel when not running about his cage.
